If your anything like me, I know you all also have a love-hate relationship with Pinterest. There are about a quadrillion recipes, ideas, projects, and inspirations that anyone can achieve…if you’re Martha Stewart. I think we’ve all seen the classic photos and videos of #pinterestfails. My own personal #pinterestfail was the ever-so-popular cauliflower pizza crust, which turned into a frozen pizza night.
In addition to our Five to Nine recipes, of course, I have quite a few favorite food pins that I have tried with tasty success and continue to make! Here are my tried and true Pinterest favorites:
Low and Slow Oven Baked Ribs: Seriously, this is the only way that I will make ribs. These are fall off the bone delicious that will give a restaurant a run for their money.
Grilled Chicken Wings: Like the ribs, this is also one of the only way that I like to make wings. The corn meal gives these wings an extra crisp that I love.
English Toffee: This candy is so addicting. For a few years, I’ve been making and handing it out at Christmas or take in a small tray of it for work. My colleagues love it!
Copy Cat Max and Erma’s Chicken Tortilla Soup: I’m not going to lie, I felt like I was cheating when I won a soup competition with a big pot of this stuff. It was the first to run out! It makes a large batch which is great for leftovers!
Loaded Baked Potato and Chicken Casserole: My mom found this one and made it for us when I came home from the hospital with Nolan. It’s one of Garey’s favorites.
Beer Cheese Dip: Whether for dipping or pouring over pasta for an awesome mac n’ cheese, this dip so easy to make and a great game day snack.
Copy Cat Pizza Hut Pan Crust: I’ve made this on New Year’s Eve for a family pizza night, multiple times. Just like the real deal.
Homemade Flat Bread: This bread takes homemade gyros to the next level. Worth the extra effort!
Copy Cat Wendy’s Frosty: I’ve only made it once, but I need to make it again! Great little treat for the summer.
My best advice for pinners….don’t pretend to be something you aren’t. If you are the type of person that only has rice in your pantry, then chances are, you are not going to master a rainbow cake!
